Auction Update

We have expanded descriptions on some of the items that will be in the auction.

Santos
A Santos is a form of folk art unique to New Mexico which focuses on an image of a saint. They are made by santeros, who are specially trained artisans. This piece comes from the Millicent Rogers Museum and was framed by Frame It and Etc.

Hand rolled Cigars and Humidor

Paul Thompson may be new to town, but he isn’t new to the art of wood. This small chest is designed to store your cigars at the proper humidity level. If cigars aren’t your vice of choice it can store jewelry or other keepsakes.

Gentlemen’s Desk Pen
Real turquoise stone is eyecatching partnered with rhodium in this pen turned by Dave Kauffman. This roller ball pen is both beautiful and practical, as it takes a standard Parker refill.

Queen’s Hat
Dawn Weimer has donated this unique bronze paperweight that’s a fundraiser for the Larimer County rodeo queen scholarship fund.

Ceramic Pot
The Museum auction and art collectors have waited patiently while Gerry Thiel took the last few years off from making his famed pots. And our patience has been rewarded.

Longs Peak and Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park

Lillian Hauge’s paintings are some of the most sought after in the region. This piece reminds us why. Her use of color and reflection results in a piece that you look at and feel you can step into.

Floral Stained Glass
Alice Norton created this framed stained glass piece that showcases four different flowers; tulips, irises, morning glories, and sunflowers.

Size Don’t Matter
Monte White is in Arkansas this weekend, but he and Robin left us this hand colored numbered print. Monte is at his best when portraying those who mean the most to him, as this piece featuring his son Trey shows. It is number 6 of 50 and features framing and matting done by Monte.

Epicurean Delight
Edward’s Price Right Market is known for its meat counter specializing in Cargil’s Sterling Silver Meat and homemade German sausage. East Platte Liquor is one of those small but mighty stores with a selection that seems to be too big for its walls. These two businesses have joined forces to provide some lucky bidder with a years worth of gastronomic delights. Once a month for twelve months you will be able to redeem one of the coupons at Edward’s for a meat selection of their choice and then pop over to East Platte and get a bottle of wine of their choosing.

Horseshoe
Dawn Weimer has offered up a second bronze for the auction. It is a horsehoe paperweight.
