Farm Life
The Farm Life exhibit was a hit. We appreciate all of the visitors and their comments. This exhibit was a bit of an experiment for us. It's the largest and most expensive traveling exhibit we've ever brought to the Fort Morgan Museum.
The next exhibit will be on sugar beets. 2006 is the 100th anniversary of the sugar factory in Fort Morgan, a source of jobs, money, and pride for the community. When sugar first came to the area there were two factories in the county, one in Fort Morgan and one in Brush. The Brush factory closed in the 50s and the Fort Morgan factory had a few hiccups along the way, but we're still going strong. One of two out of about twenty facilities that are still running.
The Museum is looking for three-dimensional objects, photos, and memories related to the sugar industry. Please contact us if you are willing to share, 970-542-4010.
